125 sq foot of Maple wood flooring is intalled!

Woodwork is going to be done being stained tomorrow!

The couch and bed foam should be placed tomorrow~ as well as drawers built!

ahhhh…. it is coming together! This weekend was quite profitable as we had a decent yard sale and sold Billy’s truck. We have Solar Screens 80% efficiency on their way (these will keep the bus cooler and Xia the kitty in, as well as the little buggies out.

7 gallons of paint from www.paintforcars.com on the way :)

Metallics- chestnut brown, antique gold and emerald green for the exterior of the bus. We will mix the ceramic add in for the roof only to help keep heat out.

Yesterday we purchased a ladder, water pump (2.8gpm) and 30 gallon water tank from Lloyed the Jesus Rv guy $100 for the 3.

Billy is doing a beautiful job on the bus and I am plugging away staining, clear coating bus walls and trim, taking care of kids, selling our crap and getting the house emptied, packed, etc.

The plan is that we will leave no later then June 29th as we need to head to High Sierra Music Festival. If all goes well, we can head a tiny bit sooner.

I do apologize for not getting a new video up and no new pics I do have my excuses :P

Just don’t know if you really want to hear them… lol

Stresses Mount, Project Moves Along, The Man in Brown is my BFF

So while I was whining about junk mail yesterday Billy was having a melt down! He is going absolutely crazy I decided! Maybe it is the fumes from all the paint and stain inside the bus? :P

He will not relax, chill, realize that things will happen whether or not you stress about them. He hasn’t slept in days, his back aches, and his tempermant is little to be desired. He is flying off the handle! and I am ready to hop on that same broom and fly away.

I drugged him with 2 Trazadone last night, rubbed his back, put some ben-gay type smelly stuff on it, and he is still sleeping. Let’s hope and pray for a better day for him today. Yesterday, the day from hell~ also brought on a new problem. I love this stuff, my god, can life be anymore unpredictable?  So, during William’s freak out session, I get a call for the Ford Ranger we are selling. Great! Yay! I think this is what is going to break the funk of the day. Because it is an awesome vehicle and the dude will totally want it and hand me over $3500 cash right? haha, so f’ng wrong! Instead, the dude test drove it and broke it!

It seems as if he may have slammed it into gears so harshly he broke the gear shift cable, so the car completely stopped working during the test drive! I so should video tape this stuff, my life truly would make for interesting tv at times! So after pushing the truck in and then back out of the driveway we get it to AAMCO, $270 later, he I stand! CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!

and of course the guy is now long gone, certainly I can’t charge him for breaking it right! ack! Well, needless to say this took Billy’s already fabulous mood and sunk it about 10 notches deeper into HELL.

I do wish he could just ride through things a little easier. Maybe I am too lax with that stuff, don’t know, but, I learned early on in life, shit happens baby, pick up, keep a smile on your face and move on.

But, today a new day! hehe! woohoo

The man in brown here again, boy do I love seeing his Starsky and Hutch Mustache each morning! It is like Christmas everyday here at the Bove home! Yesterday Solar Panels! Today~ the Thetford 465 porta potti and install kit for our AC unit! Hell Yeah!

Solar Panels- 2/130 watt Kyocera with tilt mounts $1400 from www.rvsolarelectric.com – awesome people here! Doug is the Man!

Batteries- 4 6volt deep cycle batteries- Trojan T-105′s this gives us about 450 Amp hours  $130 from Standard Batteries Local! My chest hanging out non nonchalantly saved us $20 per battery! lol! haha. No really! Yea, I disgust myself. :)   (I must clarify, this was not on purpose!)

Porta Potti- Thetford 465 $123 www.adventurerv.net

AC unit assembly kit- $60 www.adventurerv.net  (AC was $100 refurbished found in our local classifieds)

My hands are rubbing together excited to see what may come tomorrow!

I was going to be finishing up purchases for water, heat and electrical, all the little odds and ends, but, now the car threw us for a loop!

Anyone want to buy a Ford Ranger?

junk-mail

Q: Tara, What will you most enjoy about living on the road?

A: No JUNK MAIL!

What the hell, every day the mail comes in and it immediately goes out….. in the recycling bin! No one writes letters anymore, bills are delivered to your email inbox, but, the junk, the advertisements, the flyers, the “free” magazines keep coming! I have no room in my world for these things. Is there a spam blocker for my mailbox? ok, I understand I like my mail lady very much and we do need to keep her employed, but, LORD HELP ME! I do not want to install a new furnace in May, I do not desire to buy an Arby’s Sandwich and get a FREE coke, and Hell, I really don’t care what Jennifer Aniston is doing!

Q: Tara, again what will be most enjoyable, what will you truly not mind letting go of?

A: Junk Mail! and while your at it~ take the home phone too~ I can’t even begin to consider sorting through the telemarketing calls and the debt collectors on the voice mail.

My note to advertisers~

It is all about web presence! Stop polluting my mailbox, my kitchen table and for god sakes my recycle bin and the city dump~ please go paperless! It’s all about being green and simplifying these days~ Cyber baby~xoxo Tara

It's Gonna Be a Bright BRIGHT Sun Shiney Day!

Alas’

hehe…

Things are going well around Casa De’ Chaos! Sage is healing nicely. His little angel face is on the mend. I am concerned about his chin, however, the stitches came out, but, it was such a huge gash, part of me wonders if they should have been left in longer. It just doesn’t look right. Billy says it is just still swollen, so I will just keep wringing my hands and praying until the swelling and bruising goes down and I can see for myself it is ok. It is a mothers job to worry isn’t it afterall? :)

My little man has been so brave through all of this, I am so proud of him. He has had outbursts of saddness, asking “Why this had to happen?”

Dentist gave his thumbs up yesterday as he inspected Sage’s swollen mouth. Teeth are in there tight still, which Dr. Romney was shocked they didn’t get knocked out with the damage to the inside of his mouth. He did say they look good, but, of course there is a slight chance they were knocked so hard that the nerve is damaged, which we do not see right now. He directed me to watch for color change and if it happens, to get him in right away for route canals on the damaged teeth.

On the way home from our ~Dental Investigation~ The Rheumatologist called about Chelsea-Rain. Great News… All is well with her labs, she does have elevated calcium levels which leads to kidney weakness (this is how stones build), right now, he directed to up her water and pay attention to her lower back pain. If it worsens, bring her in for further kidney testing. He does stand by his diagnosis of Elevated Pain Syndrome/Fibromyalgia.

I  will be getting her some herbal supplements to mix in her morning smoothies that will help her out. I also think yoga for back pain would be a great benefit.

Certainly I want to thank all our loved ones, friends and family for the love and support you have shown us during these trying times. :*

Today, is a new day, I sat on the porch admiring the lavendar that is blooming in my yard, smelling the sweet smell of the green grass, and taking in the warmth of the sun on my toes. The days are getting brighter, sunnier, warmer. Our project is moving along, Billy has been working from Sunrise…to well, almost sunrise again on the bus. I am actually starting to miss him, haha. I get my fix when I accost him with the video camera though :P

I picked out 2 paints yesterday, one for the ceiling inside (Natural Linen) and one for the panels on the cupboard doors (Olive Green). The ceiling is being painted as I type, well other then the quick smooch he just ran in and gave me on the cheek :)

For the ceiling we purchased Ceramics to mix in as this will help to keep the heat out in hot weather. The ceramics will also be used on the outside roof as well when painting da bus comes into play (Which William says 2 more weeks on that!)

http://www.hytechsales.com – Best price on the paint or the ceramic granules to add in

All the beadboard is done, the 3 fans are installed, the Solar Panels are on the way www.rvsolarelectric.com (Doug)!

We are moving right along!

Other then running and hiding in the bus everytime our house is being shown by a realtor everything is just Peachy Keen, lol.

Here’s to glorious weather, and the sun shiney day ahead!

Hold Up, Wait a minute, What is Happening!

Billy in the bus 10 hour days, me selling our belongings, holding yard sales, going through everthing we own trying to decide what goes, what stays. Days were beginning to feel routine, Days were beginning to blend. Once, a friend told me…Life is like riding on a train with your feet up, you don’t realize you are even on the the train til it crashes.

Wednesday Chelsea went for blood tests at the Rheumatologists, she has not been feeling well, and symptoms according to the doctor point to Fibromyalgia. While there, the doctor requested Lupus tests for her as well. “Just to be safe”.

Later that day, Sage and I went for a walk with our dear friend Aubrey and her pups. A beautiful day, sun setting in the West, a cyclist speeding faster then a shooting star across the sky came from out of nowhere and certainly changed our day, and quite possibly my sons life.

sage1

Approximately 8pm our 9 year old boy, Sage was run down, plowed over, HIT by a speeding bicycle! Blood Gushed everywhere, screams for mama reached my ears and rang through my body echoing in my heart. The cyclist going at extrememe speeds ran my boy over, and proceeded to fall on him as well.

sage2

The worst part is she displayed no compassion. She took the ear buds out of her ears after finally rolling off of Sage, examined her pinky, and pretty much dusted herself off.

Fireman, Ambulance, passersby, came to our aid and gave assistance, as the negligent, compassionless woman did not say one word to me, to Sage. Did not ask if he is ok, did not apologize.

7 hours in the emergency room later, Sage has major road rash, gashes in his mouth, possible concusion of the teeth and 8 stitches in his chin!

His mouth was so swollen for first couple of days, he could not eat, he was only able to fit a straw in through the corner of his mouth to get what nourishment milkshakes would provide him.

Today is day 4 and he is recovering nicely, looks as if a truck took him out, but, he is being brave, courageous and able to eat soft foods again!

Keep my boy in your thoughts and prayers!
